Emerald Cut Green Tourmaline

About the source:
I knew of only a few gem dealers before my time in Tucson in 2024, so when we finally got to the show, my list of must-visit booths was short. Upon finding one such booth, a Canadian unique diamond dealer (who I LOVE, and have purchased from online but didn't see anything that caught my eye in person this trip), we got to talking to the ladies in the booth about it being our first time to the show. They mentioned one of their must-visit booths across the event hall. We beelined for it, and immediately knew why they loved it so much! Not only were those working the booth tremendously kind, but very knowledgeable, and it was clear how dedicated they were to ethically sourcing each of their gems. We even met the founder of the company himself, who hand-selects every stone! My first thought for this green tourmaline was a three stone ring alongside similar hues (we had just sourced the similar-sized aquamarine and sapphire from another company), but now I sorta love it solo - maybe a simple little pendant hanging on a chunky chain with a few other fave charms?

Details:
Green Tourmaline measures 3.1mm x 5.9mm.

Tourmalines have a hardness of 7-7.5/10 on the Mohs Hardness scale, meaning they are fairly durable. This gem can safely and securely be set into any bracelet, ring, pendant, or jewelry piece you can dream up! Tourmaline is also known as the birthstone for the month of October and the 8th wedding anniversary gem.
