Emerald Cut Green Tourmaline

This was the first gem I purchased on our first trip to the Tucson Gem Show in 2024! I found David's booth (a character, let me tell ya! We had so much fun chatting gems with him) while wandering the aisles of mega gems and was enamored with all of the deep greens in a precious corner of his display case. I waffled between a few elongated emerald cut green tourmalines in the tray but ultimately landed on this one because I loved the rich hue as well as the aesthetically pleasing ratio of length to width. I envisioned it immediately set into a ring east-west style (meaning horizontally) or even in a super cool pendant maybe surrounded by diamonds? Hmm, the world is YOUR oyster, eek! Can't wait to see who gets this bad boy and what we do with it.

This gem can safely and securely be set into any bracelet, ring, pendant, or jewelry piece you can dream up! Tourmaline is also known as the birthstone for the month of October and the 8th wedding anniversary gem.
