Sparked by a mutual love (obsession?) of needlepoint work, Mary Frances Maker and Shannon Zimolong of Greystone Needlepoint are thrilled to share their debut collection of cast needlepoint jewelry pieces! Mary Frances took up needlepoint in 2023 and quickly became fascinated with all the different textures you can achieve with just a needle and thread. She began daydreaming of how these textures would translate in metal, and sought out Shannon's expertise to bring this vision to life. Shannon and her team meticulously stitched each charm as well as the bangle on an 18 mesh canvas with pepper pot fiber, Mary Frances took those pieces to her production team for scanning and printing into wax then casting into metal, and what was created was nothing short of amazing! Somehow, someway, we successfully cast delicate needlepointed designs into solid metal for you to wear and enjoy for generations.
