Round Top, Texas with MFM
Hello friends! Or should we say "howdy"... just feels right. We're back from our 3 day adventure with the Love Pretty Things Pop Up. We're exhausted, our skin is a lil' dry still, but wow, what a week! We seriously miss the sunrise and sunsets over the Texas horizon line and every windows-down truck ride to the middle of nowhere. What a peace. And the stars?! Insane!
Enjoy the snapshots of our trip below. You'll see many beautiful, eclectic things, interiors that make us swoon, our air bnb (along with its trusty guard dog), and of course, Tinis (special thanks to Toddi for providing the delicious, small batch vodka! Was perfect in our dirty martinis)! A special shout out to our new friend, Sophie of Sophie Williamson Design, who was the best travel companion!!
Side note about horizon lines, after doing a quick google search about the benefits of looking out onto the horizon... as one does!
When we look at something stressful (or exciting) our field of vision narrows so that one thing is in laser sharp focus and the rest is blurrier. Our eyeballs actually rotate slightly inwards towards our nose. In contrast by expanding our visual field the body is able to switch off the stress response.
So, to take this one step further we can induce a state of calm and reduced stress by allowing our eyes to relax and take in a wider panorama or view. Forget focusing on one thing and instead broaden your horizon. FROM THIS ARTICLE!
